It is the day of the interview. How confident are you feeling?
Confidence at an interview comes from knowledge. If
you have not done your research, if you haven’t studied the
company, if you haven’t gone on the Web, if you haven’t under-
stood what the market is and who the competition is, if you
haven’t done a Google search on the person who’s interviewing
you, your confidence is going to be very low. Conversely, the
more knowledgeable you are, the more thoroughly you have
done your research, the more confident you will feel.
If you have followed the ideas in the previous chapters,
your confidence should be at an all-time high. You have
finished and reviewed your detailed research about the
company you are going to see. You have thought about
the way you are going to present yourself. You have taken
time to reflect on the key messages you want to get across
during the interview, and on how those messages match the
