Finding My Way

A bored. Writing out expenses claims was extremely tedious,
but I liked the office, and the canteen, and so I hung around for
nine months until I couldn’t take the boredom any longer. Going
out was the only priority in my life, so I still hadn’t given any
thought to what I might like to do for work. I was only concerned
that it paid well.
I answered an ad in the paper for a ‘trainee interviewer’. I had
no idea what one was or what one did, but I thought it was an
interesting job title so I went along to the interview. As I walked
into the offices of Premier Personnel in Holborn, I couldn’t have
known that I was actually taking the first steps towards a career
that would make me a fortune. Premier was a small recruitment
agency, and I was told the job was basically interviewing
