financing for the school, and all the money I make from TV work,
from this book, from my public speaking goes to the Foundation.
When I die, money from a trust will continue to fund the school.
My aim is to be responsible 1000 children’s education at any
one time, and being able to do this helps me make sense of my life.
It is also a huge source of joy for me because some days my life is
so stressful – I run the business, do the media work, the charity
work – and that stress level is maintained from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m.,
seven days a week. There are days when I can have three
conference calls in the car on the way to work, and if there’sa
spare fifteen minutes in my diary my PA fills them with three
people I need to call. My phone rings off the hook: every minute
is accounted for. It’s exhausting and there are times when it’s easy
to wonder if it’s worth it. When I feel like that, all I have to do is
think of the school, of my father’s school, and I know that it is.
