e had planned that we would watch my first episode of
W Dragons’ Den as a family. Normally when I get in from
work I change into comfortable clothes, but Aisha said I should
keep my suit on because it would be nice to go out for a
celebratory ice cream afterwards. I went upstairs to freshen up,
and at 8.55 p.m., five minutes before Dragons’ Den came on, she
suggested we watch it downstairs in my office where there’s a big
screen.
‘I’ll be down in a sec,’ I said.
I suppose I was a bit nervous, but mostly I was just really
curious to find out how it had all been edited together. I opened
the door to my office and where I expected to see Aisha, the
girls and a bowl of popcorn, I found fifty of our friends and
family!
‘Surprise!’
I was really surprised, so surprised in fact that I was quite
confused. How had they all got in without me hearing the
