Emoov is an online estate agent, offering customers self-serve technology tools for valuation, marketing, buyer-seller matching, negotiation, conveyancing, mortgage to help sell property better, faster while saving them the high traditional agent fees.

Founder and CEO, Russell Quirk, launched in 2010 aiming to re-evaluating the estate agency model and offering a fairer fee, a better service and a technology empowering approach.

In May 2018, emoov announced its merger with, fellow hybrid estate agent, Tepilo, and positioned the newly merged company as the second-largest digital Estate Agent in the UK.

The remaining senior team in marketing, technology, sales and operations are all specialists in their field with a total workforce of 50 employees.

Investment & fundraising

James Caan’s private equity firm, Hamilton Bradshaw (HB), invested in 2014 when the emoov was completing its first funding round.

At the time of investing, the company was valued at c. £2m. Based on latest fundraising completed in 2018, the new merged company has an enterprise value in excess of £100m.

The latest round of funding (via crowdfunding) in July 2018 has now been completed and was the last chance for investors, ahead of a potential IPO.

Performance & milestones

To date, eMoov has sold thousands of properties all over the UK totalling £3 billion in value, saving the average seller more than £4,000 each in high street fees in the process.

The company has almost 500 new listings each month and is currently generating annual revenue of £2m.

In 2014, 2015 and 2016, eMoov won the award for Best UK Customer Service. In 2016, eMoov were also Best Estate Agent of all 26,000 UK branches.
